A hike for a good cause is coming to the West Valley.
The Veterans Hike-A-Thon will run 8 a.m.-1 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 17, at White Tank Regional Park, 20304 W. White Tank Mountain Road, in Waddell.
The fundraiser serves to bring awareness about veteran suicide and to assist veterans with alternative therapies (art, equestrian, hiking, etc.) versus the traditional clinical setting of mental health care.
Entry fee of $25 includes a park day pass, T-shirt, hiker goodie bag, and a fundraising packet.
The event is hosted by My 22 Veterans, a nonprofit that supports veterans. Visit https://my22veterans.org/.
