Developers are proposing an approximately 463-unit residential community, sporting a unique blend of single-family detached, single-family attached townhome units with alleys, and multifamily units, all designed to cater to the diverse housing needs of Goodyear's residents.
Willow at El Cidro Ranch, a proposed mixed residential housing community, is located on an approximately 42.4-acre parcel of agricultural land at the southeast corner of the future Loop 303 freeway and Lower Buckeye Road in Goodyear.
Willow at El Cidro Ranch will include a mix of single-family detached units, two-story single-family attached townhome units (alley-loaded), and three-story multifamily, or “stacked flats.”
The common areas will include a minimum of 2.1 acres of space with a community pool, cabana facility, and clubhouse.
Each multifamily unit is slated to have a private outdoor open space area of at least 60 square feet. This outdoor open space will be provided in the form of private patios for ground-level units and private balconies for second —and third-level units.
A 1-mile pedestrian and equestrian trails will be created in the open space buffer around the project's north, west, and east.
The application was slated to be considered in the last planning commission meeting but was tabled. The city will evaluate the application at the next hearing.
