Estrella hosts groundbreaking for new homesites in Goodyear

Posted

Estrella Development Company, in collaboration with homebuilders Lennar and Richmond American Homes, recently broke ground on 508 new homesites at the Montecito village within the Estrella master-planned community in Goodyear, Arizona. The new homesites are part of Estrella’s ongoing development as demand for housing grows in the West Valley.

Jeff Zimmerman, vice president of development for Estrella Development Company, said the milestone marks an important step in the community's growth.

“Over the past year, we’ve sold 719 homesites in the Lucero and Montecito villages, which shows there’s strong demand for homes here,” Zimmerman said. “The sale of another 508 homesites to Lennar and Richmond American Homes reflects the confidence these builders have in the community.”

“Over the past year, we have successfully sold 719 homesites within the villages of Lucero and Montecito. This achievement highlights Estrella's appeal and the strong demand for quality housing in our master-planned community,” Zimmerman said. “These partnerships are essential in delivering high-quality homes to our residents.”

As the West Valley experiences growth in employment, retail, commercial and entertainment sectors, Zimmerman emphasized that Estrella’s location positions it well to meet rising housing demand. Estrella, one of the largest master-planned communities in the Southwest, offers a range of housing options. The new homesites will feature various home styles and floor plans designed to meet the needs of singles, couples and families.

The groundbreaking ceremony drew more than 350 people, including city officials from Goodyear, such as Mayor Joe Pizzillo, Vice Mayor Wally Campbell and Councilwoman Benita Beckles.

"We firmly believe in Estrella and with the West Valley's booming economy, coupled with Estrella's well-planned infrastructure and vibrant community spirit, we're confident this is an ideal place for families to call home,” Jeff Gunderson, senior vice president of land operations at Lennar said.

Estrella’s development benefits from a partnership with Scottsdale-based Harvard Investments, Toll Brothers and Värde Partners, which provide the expertise and resources for the project.

"The community looks better and lives better and those improvements are benefitting current residents and hundreds of folks who move to Estrella in the near future,” Tim Brislin said Harvard Investments president.

The development project also involves contractors such as Silver Fern Companies, Otago Development, Rummel Construction, DCS Contracting, Rhino Contracting and Land Advisors Organization.

Following the groundbreaking, a “Touch-A-Truck” event allowed children to explore the construction equipment that will help shape the new neighborhoods, providing an interactive experience for the community.
