Applications welcome for Buckeye business rehab program

The city of Buckeye’s Catalyst Program is now open and accepting applications until Thursday, March 28.

Any local business can apply for the grant to help expand, rehabilitate, beautify or enhance its building façade, landscaping or exterior lighting.

The total budget for this round of the program is $117,000.

Each business that qualifies can apply for a maximum of $50,000. Business owners must also financially contribute to the project.

Reimbursement is provided after the business successfully completes the project and submits the required documentation.

Interested business owners can download and review the detailed program guide and program application from Buckeye’s economic development website, GrowBuckeye.com.

Since the program launched, the city’s Catalyst Program resulted in:

  • Funding 45 projects totaling $884,000
  • Combined investment of $2.6 million from the city and private sector
  • 2:1 return on investment
