ADHS reports 41 new weekly coronavirus cases in Goodyear

State mass vaccination sites to close by June 28

The Arizona Department of Health Services reported 41 new coronavirus cases in Goodyear’s 85338 and 85395 ZIP codes over the week ending Friday, June 4, 12 fewer than the 53 new weekly cases reported last Friday.

That brings the overall tally of cases in Goodyear to 11,711.

Vaccinations

Each week, the county updates the number of residents vaccinated, and the percentage of residents vaccinated by ZIP code at maricopa.gov/5671/Public-Vaccine-Data.

As of June 1, Maricopa County health officials reported that more than 43% of all county residents and more than 49% of all county residents 10 and older had received at least one dose.

According to the website, 3,443,270 vaccine doses had been administered to Maricopa County residents. Of those, 1,800,851 were first dose, 1,619,847 were second dose and 22,572 were unknown.

In Goodyear 85395, 61.1% of the eligible population had received their first dose and 53.1% had received their second dose.

In Goodyear 85338, 52.8% of the eligible population had received their first dose and 44.1% had received their second dose.

On June 4, ADHS announced that state-operated mass vaccination sites will close by Monday, June 28 as vaccine availablity at pharmacies, doctors' offices and pop-up clinics increases.
