Study examines family cost of attending a Cardinals game

Arizona sports fans do get a break — relatively speaking — on price of fandom

Taking a family of four to an Arizona Cardinals game this season could easily become a four-figure outing. But by NFL standards, that qualifies as relatively affordable.

With the regular season approaching, a new Action Network analysis released Aug. 18 ranks State Farm Stadium in Glendale as the NFL’s 12th-most affordable stadium for families. According to the study’s methodology, a family of four attending a Cardinals game this season could expect an estimated game-day cost of $1,249.01, or $225.54 below the NFL average of $1,474.55.

Affordability, of course, is relative. And staying home isn’t necessarily the inexpensive alternative it once was.
