Deer Valley Unified superintendent announces resignation after heated boundary meeting
It’s the board that’s the problem. They stop him at every turn. Schools are getting overcrowded. And they are hiring horrible teachers. Let’s focus on that! Too many students are leaving for the ESA Scholarship. I’ve seen inside the classrooms. Our school went down from an A to a B because the teachers can’t teach because of the board. They won’t tell you but as a parent I will. He isn’t the problem — Sarah N.

Peoria Unified governing board approves closure of 2 schools
Sad situation. I get why they had to do it but I don’t agree with turning Cactus High School into a 7th-12th grade. I think that could be a mistake to the older students in the long run. —GL Stanford
I took my grandson out of Pioneer and put him in Washington School District for the rest of his 7th grade. I really do not think it’s a good idea of having 7th graders in a high school. I really did like Pioneer, a lot of the teachers were very good with my grandson at Pioneer, but I really do not think putting young seventh graders in a high school area is good. So now he will move with the kids where he is at and go to the same high school as ninth graders. Where is all our taxes going to? Also the lottery money that supposed to to go towards schools. — Julie Cohen
