Saturday night shooting near Westgate unrelated to Final Four: Glendale PD

Posted

A man was shot about 10 p.m. Saturday night near Westgate in Glendale, police said.

Authorities received a call that there was a shooting near 9500 W. Glendale Ave.

The shooting occurred hours after the Final Four games at State Farm Stadium, but police emphasized it was not related to the game or festivities.

“The suspect(s) fled the area and are outstanding at this time,” police said Saturday night.

Two men were taken to a hospital, the shooting victim with a non-life-threatening wound and the other with a facial injury from an assault, according to a release.

“The individuals involved were NOT attendees of the event,” police said.
