Override approval bucks recent Deer Valley Unified election trends

Having already faced 50+ staff cuts with full-day kindergarten at risk, district moves forward

Voters within the Deer Valley Unified School District have forged a new path to financially support schools.

After two consecutive Novembers of the electorate turning away ballot initiatives to extend the maintenance and operations budget override, final unofficial election results this time around show voters approving the measure.

Two years ago the measure failed by a 55% to 45% margin. One year ago the gap closed to a 53% to 47% defeat.
