Heritage Communities has appointed Lori Higuera as executive director of Orchard Pointe at Arrowhead, 17200 N. 67th Ave., Glendale.

With 100 apartments, the senior living community offers both assisted living and memory care services.

As executive director, Ms. Higuera will be responsible for all operational facets within the community, including resident experience, quality of care, programming directives and leading a team of nearly 60 associates.

“I am humbled and honored to transition into the servant leader role of administrator at Orchard Pointe at Arrowhead,” Ms. Higuera stated in a news release. “The ability to have direct interaction with residents and make a positive impact in their life motivates me to improve operational efficiencies and the overall resident experience.”

She has more than 20 years in health care, with 10 of those years spent directly in senior living. Starting as a registered respiratory therapist in a hospital setting, Ms. Higuera moved to home care, and ulti-mately found her passion in senior living.
