Plant palms
Mexican pigmy palms don’t drop leaves into the pool. Big pots with drips behind pool to put lantana in. — Rosie Tuttle
Don’t plant anything like palo verde close to your pool or anything that might throw seeds. You could have algae problem. — Annie Martínez

Stay away from oleanders. Those were in our backyard when we moved in and we have leaves in our pool all the time from them. — Tara Muldner
