Lifehouse and Billy Ray Cyrus will headline Sunset Sessions, a two-day event with award-winning chefs and premier food and beverage partners, under the stars Friday and Saturday, March 13-14, at State Farm Stadium, 1 Cardinals Dr., Glendale.
Billboard Music Award Winner Lifehouse will perform Friday, and country superstar Billy Ray Cyrus plays Saturday. Gates open 6 p.m. with DJ Scotty B kicking off the music at 6:15 p.m., and headliners taking the stage at 7:30 p.m.
Culinary superstar Chef Anthony Serrano is curating the team of award-winning chefs that will prepare the five-star dishes each night. The theme for Friday is “A Melody of Sonoran Flavors,” which will feature farm-to-table ingredients and dishes native to Arizona. The theme for Saturday is “Country Rock ‘n’ Tacos” and will feature unique tacos and classic sliders with Wagyu beef provided by Hassell Cattle.
Other partnerships will include top-shelf WhistlePig whiskey, wine from 1912 Winery, and Anheuser-Busch products.
Participating chefs include Derek Upton, known for his work with Chef Justin Beckett and celebrity client lists; David Duarte, who previously worked in Michelin-starred Ristorante II Buco in Sorrento, Italy; and Josh Dae, a professional BBQ competitor. Chef Christie Vanover, editor and publisher of Girls Can Grill, and Kita Roberts, known as Girl Carnivore, will also participate in the team of chefs for Sunset Sessions.
“Partnering with the best collector car auction company in the world and creating this exclusive culinary and music event is a can’t-miss opportunity for the Phoenix area community,” Jim Freudenberg, senior vice president of Strategic Partnerships at the Innovative Group, which is partnering with Mecum Auctions to produce this new event, stated in a news release. “We are bringing the world’s top culinary event to the Valley of the Sun and providing the finest unlimited menu of food, libations and music.”
Tickets range from $150-$350 each and include access to both the Mecum Glendale auction and Sunset Sessions event. VIP admission includes premium music viewing areas, backstage access, access to the VIP lounges, exclusive personal chef interactions and craft cocktail experiences.
Mecum Auctions opens to buyers, sellers and spectators at 9 a.m. Wednesday, March 11 at State Farm Stadium. The entire event continues Thursday through Sunday, March 12-15.
