Glendale’s city softball winter league almost here

Mandatory organizational meeting coming Jan. 3

Adult winter softball season is right around the corner in Glendale.

The Parks and Rec Department will host a mandatory organizational meeting for the season at 6 p.m. on Wednesday, Jan. 3 at the Glendale Adult Center, 5970 W. Brown St.

The winter season runs January through March. The spring season follows in early April.

WINTER SEASON DATES:

  • Jan. 11-April 5: Men’s Tuesday Night B/C
  • Jan. 11-April 5: Men’s Tuesday Night C/D
  • Jan. 14-April 8: Coed Friday Night B/C
  • Jan. 14-April 8: Coed Friday Night C/D
  • Jan. 16-April 10: Coed Sunday Night B/C
  • Jan. 16-April 10: Coed Sunday Night C/D

GAME DAYS/START TIMES:

  • Tuesdays: 6:30, 7:30, 8:30, 9:30 p.m.
  • Fridays: 6:30, 7:30, 8:30, 9:30 p.m.
  • Sundays: 6, 7, 8, 9 p.m.

All leagues play doubleheaders format one night a week, and the season features 14 doubleheader games with a postseason single elimination tournament at Sahuaro Ranch Sports Complex, 9895 N. 63rd Ave.
