Glendale police identify officer killed in Loop 303 crash

Posted

The Glendale police officer who died in motorcycle accident early Thursday morning has been identified as 27-year-old Jesse Rodriguez.

The accident occurred on Feb. 27 along Loop 303 in Peoria, Glendale police said.

Rodriguez had been an officer with Glendale since August 2022. He also served as a drill sergeant in the Army Reserves, according to a release.

“Although Jesse’s time with us was cut short, his impact will last well beyond his years of service. Our deepest sympathies go out to his family and the young child he leaves behind,” the release stated.
