Glendale Main Library plans busy middle of April

The Glendale Main Library, 5959 W. Brown St., plans several events for the middle of April, including:

  • A Family Night: Kindness Rocks with Rock Painting Momma! will be from 6 to 7 p.m. Monday, April 13.  Share some beauty and joy with the community by painting kindness rocks to place around town. The library's special guest Rock Painting Momma will teaching class participants a few painting tips and stories she has in her time as a kindness rock expert. Registration is required here.
  • The storytime event set from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. Tuesday, April 14 will feature special guests from the Glendale Fire Department reading stories. The event is for ages 3 to 5. Space is limited, so parents pick up a ticket the day of the event at the Youth Desk.
  • Blackout Poetry Artwork will be from 4 to p.m. Thursday, April 16. Celebrate National Poetry Month by crafting blackout poetry art. Choose a page, use the provided materials, and create a unique poem. This program is designed for tweens ages 9-11.
