Tim Beck had thoughts of retiring for several years, and the standard thing to do would have been to retire in the month after Ironwood boys soccer won the 5A state title in 2024.
But Beck spent a career setting his own standard, as a coach and for the Eagles’ program. So he coached for one more season before announcing his retirement April 18.
In 31 years as Ironwood boys soccer coach, Beck had more than 500 wins – second all time in Arizona history, five state championships, four state runner up finishes, five state coach of the year awards and 14 region coach of the year honors.
