The Glendale Chamber of Commerce at its upcoming monthly networking breakfast will examine the ongoing dangers fentanyl poses to communities.
At the Fuel Your Business event which starts at 7 a.m. Friday, Sept. 8 in The Ocotillo Room, at 5819 W. Glendale Ave., Brandi Jordan from Rise Up! Glendale Coalition will present “The Rise of Fentanyl in Arizona & Narcan Training” joined by a special guest speaker from the Drug Enforcement Administration.
An opioid painkiller many times more powerful than heroin, fentanyl is typically prescribed to treat severe pain. Now it frequently appears as an illegal street drug mixed with other narcotics. Increase awareness and knowledge about the opioid epidemic in Arizona, in the workplace, and among your peers.
With the help of Operation Prevention, employers now have the opportunity to empower staff and strengthen their organization with simple, no-cost workplace resources that give clarity to the opioid epidemic, including perspectives on science, health, society, and the legal system, according to a Glendale Chamber press release.
