Historic Downtown Glendale will present “Galentine’s Day” from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 12, with a day of activities planned.
The locally-owned businesses in the Catlin Court and Old Towne shopping districts created the event to celebrate the treasured love between women and have planned a perfect day for best friends, a press release shared.
There will be fun things to do along the way including make-and-take activities, photo ops, gift ideas at unique boutiques and specialty shops, and sweet treats at eateries.
Visitors can follow the Historic Downtown Glendale Charm Trail to fill a bracelet with charms.
Historic Downtown Glendale is made up of two distinct historic districts. Catlin Court features mature shade trees and front porches lined with picket fences, and the Old Towne District is home to one-of-a-kind shops and a Restaurant Row nestled along red brick sidewalks.
The two districts span 12 blocks filled with locally-owned small businesses.
Start the Galentine’s Day journey at the Arizona Information Center located at Memory Lane Trinkets and Treasures, at 5836 W. Palmaire Ave., to pick up an activity list and walking map.
