Blues, jazz nightclub taking shape in Glendale

Coronavirus has impacted the opening, not the spirit, of Westside Blues & Jazz

B.B. King himself said “the blues was about survival,” and that’s a message taking shape for a new Glendale nightclub.

The journey to opening the doors at Westside Blues & Jazz, 17045 N. 59th Ave., Suite 104, has been about blues, survival and hope. And, yes, a lot of waiting, 2020-style.

Paul Vincent Perez and Cindi Jackson a couple years ago sparked the idea for a blues and jazz nightclub on the west side of town. Downtown Phoenix has its blues and jazz hubs. The East Valley, too.
