Youth basketball league launching at McQueen Park

Gilbert Parks and Recreation will launch a new coed youth basketball league this fall at the McQueen Park Activity Center.

The six-week program is open to children ages 5-11 and is designed to provide a recreational environment focused on skill development, teamwork and participation. Players will be grouped into three age divisions: 5-6, 7-9 and 10-11.

Each team will have one practice and one game per week, with the season concluding with a playoff game during the sixth week.
