Why Stephanie Walsh is the state senator LD 14 deserves

OPINION — As a resident of Legislative District 14 for 20 years, I want leadership that reflects the everyday priorities of our community, not partisan talking points. That is why I am supporting Stephanie Walsh for the Arizona State Senate, and why I find it troubling that Mylie Biggs is being considered a viable candidate to represent our families.
Our district faces serious, complex challenges that demand real solutions. We need leaders who understand how to safeguard Arizona’s water supply, keep our energy grid reliable and utility rates affordable and ensure our public schools receive both adequate funding and genuine accountability.
Stephanie Walsh brings decades of practical problem-solving experience to the table. As a mechanical engineer and successful businesswoman who founded and grew an engineering firm to more than 100 employees, Stephanie understands how systems, infrastructure, and budgets actually work. She is focused on pragmatic priorities that matter directly to East Valley families: attainable housing, balanced resource stewardship, and strong local economies.

In stark contrast, Mylie Biggs has virtually no track record outside of partisan political activism and campaign copywriting for groups like Turning Point Action. Ideological talking points and party orthodoxy are simply no substitute for real-world qualification.
A state senate seat representing thousands of East Valley constituents should not serve as an entry-level stepping stone for a political operative. LD14 deserves someone who has signed paychecks, managed complex technical problems, and lived the realities of building a business.
This election is about practical competence versus partisan theater.
Stephanie Walsh has spent her life delivering real-world results, and that is exactly the leadership we need down at the Capitol. I urge my neighbors in LD14 to look closely at the candidates’ qualifications and support Stephanie Walsh.
