Higley board approves FY 2025-26 budget amid enrollment concerns  

The Higley Unified School District Governing Board unanimously gave preliminary approval on June 10 to its proposed expenditure budget for the 2025-26 fiscal year, finalizing a financial plan shaped by state budget uncertainty and enrollment declines. 

The budget faces a second public hearing and final approval June 24.  

Chief Financial Officer Tyler Moore told the board the proposed budget is much like the tentative one presented in January without many changes.
