Gilbert transit agreement provides 619,000 bus miles, expands RideChoice use

Gilbert residents will have access to seven Valley Metro bus routes covering more than 619,000 service miles in fiscal year 2027 without the town paying toward the cost of the fixed-route service.

The town also expects nearly 29,000 paratransit trips and more than 30,000 RideChoice trips under its annual agreement with the Regional Public Transportation Authority.

The Gilbert Town Council approved the amended transit services intergovernmental agreement on its June 23 consent agenda. The agreement continues a partnership that dates to 1996.
