Gilbert Town Council may revisit $55.7 million park vote

Council also to consider data center restrictions

Gilbert Town Council could revisit its approval of $55.7 million in construction at Gilbert Regional Park while also considering sweeping new restrictions on data centers at its Oct. 20 meeting.

The council will consider whether to reopen its Sept. 15 decision approving the second construction phase of the park, including ballfields and a connection to Ocotillo Road.

Councilmember Bobbi Buchli requested reconsideration Oct. 7, setting up a possible second vote on the project, which passed 5-2 last month.
