Inc. ranks companies on the 2026 list according to percentage revenue growth from 2022 through 2025.
To qualify, companies must have been founded and generating revenue by March 31, 2022. They also must have been U.S.-based, privately held, for-profit and independent as of Dec. 31, 2025.
Companies needed at least $100,000 in revenue in 2022 and $2 million in 2025 to qualify.
The 5,000 companies on this year’s list recorded median three-year revenue growth of 130% and collectively added more than 627,000 jobs to the U.S. economy during the three-year period, according to Inc.
“Every company on the Inc. 5000 has a story of perseverance, smart decision making, and a refusal to sit still,” Inc. Editor-in-Chief Mike Hofman said in a release. “Their growth reflects more than strong financial performance — it reflects creativity, resilience, and the customer focus required to build companies that make a lasting impact.”
This year’s Inc. 5000 includes businesses in areas ranging from artificial intelligence and advanced manufacturing to health care, consumer products and professional services.
The annual ranking has previously included companies such as Microsoft, Meta, Oracle, Chobani and Patagonia during earlier periods in their development.
The top 500 companies on the 2026 list will be included in the fall issue of Inc. magazine, meaning PipShip will be among those receiving that additional recognition.
Inc. also plans to recognize the companies at its 2026 Inc. 5000 Conference & Gala, scheduled for Oct. 14-16 in Dallas.
