Gilbert expands utility discount program to assist with new rates

With new utility rates in effect for April’s utility bill, the Gilbert Town Council has approved an expansion of the AZCEND Gilbert Utility Discount Program, increasing the level of assistance available to help offset rising costs.

Here’s what’s changing:

Higher monthly discount: The monthly utility discount has increased from $10 to $30.

Here’s what’s changing:

Higher monthly discount: The monthly utility discount has increased from $10 to $30.

Expanded income eligibility: The income qualification threshold has been raised from 80% area median income to 125% AMI, allowing more residents to benefit from this program. All existing program participants will automatically receive the updated $30 discount on their next bill.
