Gilbert council to consider Harvest Grove commercial zoning, short-term rental changes

Gilbert Town Council will again take up the commercial component of the Harvest Grove development Sept. 1, this time considering a 12-acre neighborhood shopping center at Val Vista Drive and Queen Creek Road.

The council also will consider three changes to Gilbert’s short-term rental code involving enforcement procedures, penalties and fees during a public hearing-heavy regular meeting that begins at 6:30 p.m. at Gilbert Town Hall, 50 E. Civic Center Drive.

Before the regular meeting, council will hold a 6 p.m. study session to discuss proposed land development code regulations for unmanned aircraft, unmanned aircraft systems and commercial drone delivery systems. No action can be taken during the study session.
