The Gilbert Chamber of Commerce honored retiring Gilbert Public Schools Superintendent Shane McCord and recognized businesses, nonprofits and community leaders during its 2026 Annual Business Awards Luncheon on June 17.
More than 200 business, education, nonprofit and community leaders attended the event at the DoubleTree by Hilton Phoenix-Gilbert. Presented by First Western Bank, the luncheon celebrated organizations and individuals whose leadership, innovation and service have contributed to the Gilbert community.
McCord, who will retire June 30, received the Chamber's President's Award in recognition of more than three decades in education and his service to Gilbert. The award recognized his efforts to support student achievement, develop future leaders and build partnerships between schools and the broader community.
