An entity tracing to Kingsbarn Realty Capital purchased a retail property April 18 at the northeast corner of Melrose and Val Vista for $1.73 million with $500,000 down, according to commercial real-estate website vizzda.com.
The seller entity is VV Melrose LLC, represented by Diversified Partners.
The vacant lot is 0.86 acres of retail land. A Bojangles is anticipated to open there before year's end.
The regional fast-food chain specializing in Cajun-seasoned fried chicken and buttermilk biscuits announced last year that it would bring 20 restaurants to the Phoenix area as part of the chain's westward expansion from its Southeastern U.S. base.
Kingsbarn Realty Capital was announced then as serving as the real-estate developer for the company in the Valley.
