Fink failed to mention that, as Senate president, Andy Biggs blocked bipartisan legislation protecting underage girls from sexual abuse and forced child marriage under Warren Jeffs, later admitting, “I was the Senate president. I knew what was going on.”
Biggs also voted against tougher penalties for child prostitution and spousal rape.
Finks’ support of Biggs is low, but it isn’t her lowest. A 2020 election denier, Fink is way outside the mainstream.
Unlike Fink, I am practical. I served as a political appointee at the U.S. Department of Labor under President Ronald Reagan. I’ve worked at AARP, Blue Shield of California and the Joint Maritime Congress.
Across issues ranging from healthcare, education and trade, I have focused on bringing people together, communicating shared values, and turning common goals into action.
We need leadership that isn’t interested in bootlicking Biggs but is determined to bring down costs, protect our water and our children.
Now is the time for West Valley conservatives of conscience to unite and coalesce behind a proven leader who will govern for everyone, not the extremes. That’s me, Deborah Howard. Please help me in this important race for the Arizona House of Representatives, District 27.
Deborah Howard is the Democratic candidate for Arizona House of Representatives District 27, which includes parts of Glendale, Peoria and Phoenix.
