ADOT schedules SR 347 lane restrictions through Aug. 7

Drivers traveling on State Route 347 should plan for lane restrictions July 30- Aug. 7, state transporation officials said Thursday.

The Arizona Department of Transportation advises motorists to plan for extra travel time through the project corridor as paving work continues south of Chandler.

Here is the schedule:

Weeknight Work
1. Thursday, July 30: Northbound SR 347 will be narrowed to one lane at the Santa Cruz Wash from 8 p.m. Thursday to 5 a.m. Friday, July 31, for geotechnical work.

2. Thursday, July 30: Northbound SR 347 will be narrowed to one lane approaching the Riggs Road intersection from 8 p.m. Thursday, to 4 a.m. Friday,  for paving.

3. Thursday, July 30: Southbound SR 347 will be narrowed to one lane approaching the Riggs Road intersection from 8 p.m. Thursday to 5 a.m. Friday  for paving.

4. Friday: Northbound SR 347 will be narrowed to one lane approaching the Riggs Road intersection from 8 p.m. Friday, to 9 a.m. Saturday, Aug, 1, for paving. Left-hand turns from northbound SR 347 to westbound Riggs Road and from eastbound Riggs Road to northbound SR 347 will also be restricted starting at 11 p.m. Friday. Detour: Drivers who need to reach westbound Riggs Road can use Old Maricopa Road to southbound SR 347, ADOT  officials said.

5. Friday: Southbound SR 347 will be narrowed to one lane approaching the Riggs Road intersection from 8 p.m. Friday to 9 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 1, for paving. Left-hand turns from southbound SR 347 to eastbound Riggs Road and from westbound Riggs Road to southbound SR 347 will also be restricted starting at 11 p.m. Friday. Detour: Drivers who need to reach eastbound Riggs Road can use Mammoth Way to northbound SR 347. Drivers who need to access westbound Riggs Road can use Old Maricopa Road to southbound SR 347.

6. Sunday, Aug. 2: Southbound SR 347 will be narrowed to one lane from Riggs Road to Mammoth Way nightly from 8 p.m. to 5 a.m. beginning Sunday to Friday, Aug. 7, for paving.
