NTSB leads probe into fatal East Valley plane crash

The National Transportation Safety Board is investigating a plane crash that killed a pilot the evening of July 28 near Chandler Municipal Airport.

Authorities were notified approximately 7:50 p.m. about the crash. It involved a Piper PA-28-180 airplane, according to the NTSB.

Chandler police and the FAA provided no additional information as of early the morning of July 29.
