Mesa Gateway Aiport is getting some upgraded software to battle potential online incursions.
The Mesa Gateway Airport Authority Board of Directors voted unanimously to approve a $223,285.12 contract for Advanced Network Management Inc. to provide cybersecurity software and services for the airport during the next three years at its Jan. 21 meeting.
The airport is operated by the MGAA, which consists of representation from Apache Junction, Mesa, Queen Creek, Gilbert an the Gila River Indian Community.
According to board documents, this agreement was executed to ensure the airport’s information technology service will be using operational and cyber security that meets governmental requirements and industry standards.
“In accordance to National Institute of Standards and Technology Framework 2.0, MGAA is enhancing its cybersecurity monitoring,” the board document reads. “Airport ITS staff has selected ANM to provide 24x7 managed network detection and response. This will greatly enhance the airport’s ability to rapidly detect and respond to potential cybersecurity threats.”
The contract is not to exceed an amount that includes an additional 10% ($20,298.65) for increases in taxes and any unforeseen shipping costs over the contract’s three-year period. Fees will be paid on an annual basis, according to board documents.
