A more than 90,000-square-foot industrial building is to be constructed on 6 acres east of Sossaman Road on the north side of Germann Road in Mesa.
The Jaws Industrial development’s look and landscaping were discussed Feb. 13 by the Mesa Design Review Board. Vice Chair Dane Astle was absent.
The building is to be constructed in the city’s Pecos Road Employment Opportunity Zone, Staff Planner Joshua Grandlienard said at the meeting.
“It is designed for spec industrial,” he said. “The proposed building is 90,704 square feet. The rear of the site — on the east side — will be screened with an 8-foot-tall perimeter wall ... and vehicle access will be from two points off of Germann.”
Carlos Elias of LGE Design Group is the applicant. Jaws Germann LLC is the owner.
The all-volunteer Mesa Design Review Board is unique in that its composition is set by the zoning ordinance to include two architects; two from other design professions such as landscape architecture, engineering, urban planning, interior design or other design-related background; one contractor or developer; and two residents, according to the city’s website.
