A man identified as a Maricopa County detention officer was arrested Thursday and charged with child sex trafficking. Chandler Police stated Emmanuel Reyes-Carreon was arrested in Chandler after detectives developed probable cause for his arrest for child sex trafficking.

Media outlets reported that court paperwork states Reyes-Carreon messaged a social media account that he believed belonged to a 15-year-old girl on May 27, offering $200 for sex, making another offer the following day, sending two photos of himself and driving to a Chandler apartment complex.
There, he texted the would-be 15-year-old girl to come outside, decided to leave and was pulled over, the outlet reported. The undercover officer who'd been posing as the girl called the phone number used in the text message, causingCarreon’s phone to ring in his vehicle.
Reyes-Carreon hd a male enhancement drug and $100 in cash on him when arrested, the outlets reported.
No new court dates or bond or employment status information was immediately available about Reyes-Carreon.
