A man and woman have been indicted in connection with a series of thefts across Maricopa County, authorities said.
Daniel Crouse, 33, and Stephanie Bandin, 38, stole power tools between March and May 2026 from eight Lowe’s stores, 17 Home Depot stores and a Shopper Supply store, the Maricopa County Attorney’s Office announced Friday.
Crouse was also identified on surveillance video stealing a luxury purse from a Dillard’s department store in Chandler. The thefts resulted in more than $30,000 in losses to the local businesses, according to an MCAO release.
“When Chandler police located the defendant and attempted to arrest him, the defendant’s girlfriend, Stephanie Bandin, used her vehicle to block police from reaching Crouse. Both were arrested. After further investigation, Bandin was also identified in surveillance video stealing power tools from a local Home Depot,” the release stated.
Crouse was indicted on one count of theft, and 27 counts of organized retail theft. Bandin was indicted on one count of organized retail theft and one count of hindering prosecution in the first degree.
