Chandler Council: Car show, financial literacy organizers recognized

Posted

Be A Mushroom Foundation co-founders Lisa and Jerome Daniels and others were recognized at the May 5 Chandler City Council study session.

Jerome Daniels said the goal of the foundation is to help families break the cycle of poverty and achieve financial independence, through strategic online educational initiatives.

Neighborhood Resources Director Leah Powell spoke at the meeting, saying it’s fortunate the city has found a partner to take on the “youth housing” educational component of the department’s efforts.

The founders, along with a couple introduced as car show winners and others, including Chandler City Council member Matt Orlando and Vice Mayor Christine Ellis, took photos together after a brief presentation.
