Aji Spa was also honored with the Forbes Five-Star Award for the seventh time.
KAI is recognized among just 82 Forbes Travel Guide Five-Star restaurants across the world.
Named for the Pima word meaning “seed,” KAI’s menu features ingredients sourced from the AhiNative Seed/SEARCH Foundation, a program dedicated to preserving Native American seed varieties and sustaining agricultural heritage.
Aji Spa, according to a news release, offers authentic Native American wellness experiences rooted in the traditions of the Pima and Maricopa cultures. The spa tries to reflect the ancient cultures of both tribes through art, architecture and design.
The resort, which completed a multimillion-dollar renovation in 2022, has earned a “Recommended” rating again in 2026.
The “Recommended” designation signifies the hotel has met the high standards set by Forbes’ independent, anonymous inspectors, who evaluate properties based on up to 900 criteria related to service, facilities and overall guest experience, the release states.
