Cave Creek Museum reopens Oct. 1 for new season

The Cave Creek Museum will open from 1-4 p.m. on Thursday, Oct. 1, 2026, for the beginning of the 2025-2026 season.

Attendance is free for everyone on opening day thanks to the generous support from the Kiwanis Club of Carefree.

“We look forward to a record number of visitors,” says JoAnn Stuckey, museum executive director in a release. “Come and enjoy exploring our wonderful collection of pre-historic pottery and artifacts in our Archaeology Wing, visit the History Wing and follow Cave Creek’s growth from a military outpost to the town it is today. And, check out our many outdoor exhibits and learn more about Cave Creek’s fascinating mining history. I encourage members and visitors to bring friends and families to the museum to see what’s new.”
