Ken Garff Automotive Group purchased the Earnhardt Volkswagen dealership at 1489 E. Motorplex Loop, Gilbert, from the Earnhardt Auto Centers for $12 million Dec. 12, according to commercial real-estate website vizzda.com.
Ken Garff Auto, which is based in Salt Lake City, previously purchased two other Arizona dealerships and now has 66 dealerships in seven states.
The 28,686 square-foot Volkswagen has one building built in 2010 on 4.5 acres. It has 12,600 square feet classified as vehicle sales, 11,037 square feet as automotive repair and a 5,048 square foot warehouse with about 300 parking spaces on site.
