Workforce-focused multifamily development approved by Apache Junction council

A workforce-housing project, which is to use the Section 42 low-income housing tax credit program, was recently approved by the Apache Junction City Council.

The council voted unanimously Sept. 15 to approve a permit for the planned 210-unit, two- and three-story Banyan Apartments rental community.

The Apache Junction Planning and Zoning Commission forwarded no recommendation to the city council on the permit.
