Variance approved for detached garage at home near Apache Junction

A variance was approved to allow a reduction in the minimum required lot area and rear yard setback of a home in unincorporated Pinal County near Apache Junction for construction of a detached garage for storage.

The Pinal County Board of Adjustment and Appeals on Sept. 24 voted unanimously to approve a variance for the 1.02-acre undersized lot northeast of East Breathless Drive and East Sleepy Hollow Trail, misspelled as Hallow in county documents.

Troy Thompson, an agent, requested the variance on behalf of Allan J. Caillier, the owner and applicant.
