Rally held at Apache Junction Post Office in support of U.S. Postal Service

Posted

Several local residents held signs in a 9-10 a.m. rally Aug. 18 outside the Apache Junction Post Office, 151 W. Superstition Blvd.

Gold Canyon resident Roberto Reveles sent an e-mail the night before inviting people to a “brief, peaceful rally.”

He asked that people who attended wear face masks, maintain 6-foot social distance, dress for warm weather and bring their own water.

“Recommend signs with following messages: ‘support postal workers,’ ‘fully fund postal service, ‘prompt delivery of Social Security checks,’ ‘timely delivery of ballots,’ ‘fire Postmaster General Louis Dejoy,’ ‘‘no cutbacks in mail service’ and ‘do not sabotage postal service,” Mr. Reveles wrote.
