Pro women’s ultimate Frisbee game in Apache Junction Nov. 14

Posted

The Arizona Sidewinders, Arizona’s professional women’s ultimate Frisbee team, is bringing its Sixth Annual Desert Collegiate All-Star Showcase Game to Davis Field at Apache Junction High School.

Experience high-level ultimate Frisbee at 6 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 14, at AJHS, 2525 S. Ironwood Drive.

The annual showcase brings together some of the Southwest’s top collegiate athletes from Arizona State, University of Arizona, Grand Canyon University, Northern Arizona University and University of New Mexico to take the field alongside Sidewinders professional players. It’s a unique opportunity to see the next generation of talent share the field with established pros, all while celebrating the growth of women’s sports in Arizona, according to a release.

“For Apache Junction families and students, it’s also a chance to experience an exciting, fast-paced sport up close, meet professional athletes and rising college stars and connect with a growing local sports community,” it states. “We’re especially excited to make the event accessible, with tickets just $5 for students and $10 for adults, plus a pay-what-you-can option to ensure cost isn’t a barrier to attending.”

With the next professional season kicking off in spring 2027, the showcase is an introduction to the Sidewinders and an opportunity to build excitement for another season of professional ultimate in Arizona.
