More than 40 attend April Pinal County Attorney’s Office Citizens Academy

Posted

A total of 41 Pinal County residents attended the April 20 citizens academy hosted by the Pinal County Attorney’s Office.

It was the second PCAO Citizens Academy of the year. Attendees heard from Pinal County Attorney Kent Volkmer, a deputy county attorney from the trial bureau, had the chance to review real cases prosecuted by the office, used a shooting simulator and toured the county jail, according to a release.

The citizens academy is an opportunity to educate the community on the criminal justice process and answer questions from the public.

“We appreciate everyone who attended and invested their time in learning more about the county attorney’s office,” the release states.

The next Citizens Academy is 8:45 a.m.-4 p.m. June 22 at the Pinal County Attorney’s Office, 971 N. Jason Lopez Circle, in Florence. Go to https://pinalcountyattorney.org/news-events/citizens-academy/.
