There will be lots of activities throughout the evening for the whole family, including:
Let it snow: Join for this one-of-a-kind free event for the whole family. We will have something for everyone from 3 p.m.-6:30 p.m.: 30 tons of snow, Santa, bounce houses and inflatables, an obstacle course, vendor/non-profit booths, and food trucks. We’ll also have live music on the entertainment stage.
Tree-lighting ceremony: Apache Junction Mayor Jeff Serdy kicks off the holiday season with the tree-lighting ceremony at 6:30 p.m. at the Focal Point, northeast corner of Old West Highway and Phelps.
The 23rd Annual Holiday Light Parade: Individuals, businesses, non-profit agencies and groups are welcome to enter their floats. Registration is required to participate. For more information on entering a float, e-mail contact Larry Binion at lbinion@ajcity.net. The parade starts at 7 p.m., traveling along Apache Trail between Phelps and Thunderbird drives.
The event is free to the community. Help collect non-perishable food for neighbors in need. Donate one non-perishable food item in lieu of admission fee. All items will be donated to the Apache Junction Food Bank and will be put to use immediately in feeding the hungry in the area, according to the release.
