Repaving of Idaho Road from Superstition Boulevard to Lost Dutchman Boulevard in Apache Junction is June 20-July 8.
Work includes the reconstruction of severely distressed pavement and road base, according to a release.
The work will result in the full closure of Idaho with local access maintained from Tepee Street for the residential areas along Idaho. Access to the Apache Junction Multi-Generational Center and the Apache Junction Public Library will continue to have the entrance by the police department off Superstition.
Motorists will be directed by detour signage to use Ironwood Drive to access Lost Dutchman and areas north. Pre-construction signage will be posted in advance to remind drivers of established detour and local access for residential communities and properties adjacent to the work area.
This work is a forerunner of further improvement of Idaho with additional curb, gutter and sidewalk planned over the next year, the release states.
All construction is scheduled during daylight hours for the safety of construction workers and the traveling public. Any questions related to this project should be directed to 480-982-1055.
