A celebration of our country’s Bill of Rights with 10 constitution scholars, music, food and prizes is Dec. 5 at Central Arizona College’s Superstition Mountain Campus, 805 S. Idaho Road in Apache Junction.

Event admission is $10-$15, free with CAC student ID. Food purchases are separate.
Ten Constitutional Scholars are invited to read a Bill of Rights amendment and bring it to life with historical accounts and present-day events. Event is produced by the Bill of Rights Guardians, an all volunteer group. Kim Grady is the founder.
“The Bill of Rights is an integral part of who we are as a nation. The 10 amendments in the Bill of Rights safeguard us against government overreach and protect our individual freedoms. Why not celebrate,” it states in a release.
“Our goal is to create a mindset ready to teach and protect the Bill of Rights. We cannot take these things for granted, our country, and our country alone, enjoys such freedoms. From freedom of speech to due process, the Bill of Rights shapes everyday life in ways many people don’t even realize,” it states.
“Our constitutional scholars make the Bill of Rights come to life. You’ll be shown ways to protect them and ways to teach them. We do this for the future of the Bill of Rights, because we know that it doesn’t matter how the next generation learns about the Bill of Rights, as long as they learn it right,” the release states,
