David Weekley Homes, a national home builder, will soon begin building single-family homes in the master-planned community of Escena at Blossom Rock in Apache Junction. The builder expects to open the community and its model home, The Madera, for sales in late April.

Weekley will offer 52 home sites within the community. Buyers will be able to select from a variety of one-story floor plans situated on 70-foot home sites, according to a release.

Homeowners in Escena at Blossom Rock will have the more than 35 parks within the community, a district park with a pool pavilion, lakeside retreat, adventure playground, dog park and game room, an expansive trail system throughout and a 1.5-acre lake. Residents will also be close to regional attractions such as the Superstition Mountains, Goldfield Ghost Town, Lost Dutchman State Park, Siphon Draw Trailhead and Canyon Lake. Students will attend Apache Junction Unified School District schools, including a future on-site school.
