Apache Junction residents interested in learning more about how local government works and finding ways to get involved in the community can register for the 2027 Citizen Leadership Institute.
It kicks off its first of eight sessions on Jan. 20, 2027, for the opportunity to learn about municipal government, connect with community leaders and explore ways to serve the community.
Classes will generally meet 6:30-9 p.m. every other Wednesday, The program is encouraged for anyone who lives, works or volunteers within Apache Junction city limits.
